Hui ā Tau 2026 Theme | Māui Pōkai Āo

Māui the explorer, Māui the Navigator set out to conquer his world for the betterment of all.

No obstacle or barrier prevented his upward progress to achieve the ultimate prize and so it should be for OUR MOKOPUNA.

Nothing should obstruct them in reaching their STAR, their MOON or their Āo.

Māui - Māui fished up the North Island, Māui the navigator, Māui the innovator, Māui the creative one, Māui Tikitiki a Taranga, the resilient one, Māui tamed the Sun.

Pōkai - Means to wrap around but also to explore, seek out.

Āo - Light or the world.
