Kua Tae Te Wā involved eighteen months of tireless campaigning by members and a long period of deadlock. The campaign focused on making teaching an attractive and valued profession.
Since 1883, NZEI Te Riu Roa members have been the voice of education professionals in Aotearoa. Together, we’ve weathered changes in government, legislation and public opinion. We’ve faced depressions, wars, pandemics and more. Through it all, we’ve stood together on a simple principle: to fight for a better education sector.
