Friday 5 September 2025 is Ngā Aukaha Learning Support Day – a day to celebrate all the amazing people who work with our tamariki to meet their specific learning needs. We see you! Wear purple to show solidarity!

Tumeke Tumuaki is an initiative created by the Principals’ Council of NZEI Te Riu Roa in 2022 which recognises and celebrates the amazing contribution principals make to education.

There are lots of ways that by working together in a union, NZEI Te Riu Roa members influence change to benefit our working lives and the tamariki we work with. Pay equity was one of our key tools in recent years, but law changes rushed through in May 2025 have changed this.
