About the role:

 

We are looking for an experienced administrator to provide office support in the Nelson region to our Te Waipounamu based team.

 

Skills and experience:

Your work is grounded in union values, a commitment to Te Tiriti and the building of workers’ power. 

 

 

  • Carry out administrative duties to ensure that the office is well supported (we are a Microsoft 365 office and use a CRM to manage member information)

  • Generate weekly reports and send to field officers and worksite representatives.

  • Arrange travel, accommodation and catering as required for members and staff

  • Support set-up for in-person events as well as resource production

  • Compile data from events

  • Ensure the office is stocked with all necessary supplies

  • Ensure that information about members within your region is accurate and current

NZEI Te Riu Roa is a Te Tiriti based organising and campaigning union of members who work together locally and nationally to achieve the best possible education system for tamariki and the people who work in it. Together we take a strategic approach to achieving members’ aims, including the protection and promotion of the industrial and professional interests of members.
