NZEI Te Riu Roa applied to initiate a Fair Pay Agreement (FPA) for the Early Childhood Education sector on 1 May 2023. On 19 June 2023, NZEI Te Riu Roa received a notice from the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) approving our FPA application.

The notice period for the resignation of full NZEI Te Riu Roa membership will extend from two weeks to one calendar month from 20 November 2024.

NZEI Te Riu Roa maintains a Bereavement Benefit fund payable on the death of a full financial member or provisional member and not in the event of the death of an honorary member or a relative of a full or provisional member.
