[FAQ] Direct Debits

Is there a setting-up fee charged to establish the direct debit at my bank?

No. The establishment of direct debits is done electronically by Flo2Cash Ltd., the company NZEI Te Riu Roa has contracted to manage direct debit and credit card payments.

How do I change the frequency, payment dates or amount of my direct debits or recurring credit/debit card payments?

Simply send an email to membership@nzei.org.nz your request. Please include your name and worksite so that we can change the correct records.

How do I change the bank account for my direct debits?

If you are currently paying by direct debit just send an email to membership@nzei.org.nz with your new account details. If you are not comfortable including your account number in an email, use the online form and this will ensure we have all your current details.

How do I change my credit/debit card for my payments?

Because of strict security requirements surrounding credit cards we cannot accept card details by email and therefore the online form must be completed again and submitted.

If only the expiry date has changed you should not need to update us with that as your payment authority is a recurring one.

Will my direct debit or credit card payments automatically stop if I cease work in the education sector? 

No. Unless kept informed by members, NZEI Te Riu Roa generally has no way of knowing who is currently employed. It is important that members who cease employment in the education sector contact us as soon as possible to avoid overpayment.
