About the role
NZEI Te Riu Roa is looking for an Organising Call Centre (OCC) Operator to join our team in the New Year. You will report to the Organising Call Centre Operator and your role will include:
Welcoming new members to their union
Recruiting new members and signing them up over the phone.
Creating reports on the outcomes of call programmes
Writing scripts for call programmes
Providing the communications team with strong social input to any communications work
Entering information into spreadsheets and a CRM
You will receive training on making organising calls, using call centre equipment and using our CRM
Skills and experience
Confidence to speak with multiple people over the phone every shift
Friendly and professional telephone manner
Working effectively in a team
An interest in publicly-funded education, commitment to Te Tiriti, unionism and social justice
Demonstrated ability to work flexibly in a team situation, ensuring that a collaborative environment is in play.
