Tasks are varied and include:

  • Working with and developing member leaders at both national and community level
  • Designing plans to help engage parents and whānau to support our key campaign goals in education
  • Incorporating political and community engagement into campaign plans
  • Creating and maintaining meaningful relationships with stakeholder groups
  • Managing national actions in support of current campaigns
  • Tracking and evaluating political engagement


In this role you will use your previous experience in campaigns / organising / the union movement to communicate opportunities for member leaders and activists to be effective political practitioners. Your understanding of the political process and community engagement will develop members, colleagues and campaign plans.
