NZEI Te Riu Roa is the dynamic and innovative union representing the interests of 47,000 education sector workers in New Zealand.
There is a vacancy in our Te Whanganui -a-Tara (Wellington) office for an experienced Administration Officer who will provide administration and IT support functions for the Central Region Team.
This role works 10 hours per week, to be worked Monday to Friday. The span of hours to be worked will be agreed with the successful applicant.
As a separate role, the position also provides Secretarial and Treasurer support to our Wellington Area Council for 10 hours per week. These hours are generally worked Monday to Friday although the occasional Friday evening work is required.
The successful candidate will have the following skills:
- excellent communication.
- experience in administration and accounts work. Experience in Xero an advantage.
- good computer literacy and confidence using the Microsoft Office suite.
- the ability to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- a friendly telephone manner.
- Confidentiality.
- Secretarial and Treasurers experience would be an advantage.
